Laceration from automobile accident
This is the patient who was wearing her seat belt. Without an air bag, the head still hit something in the car which lifted tissue away from her eyelid, nose, brow, and forehead. With both air bag AND seat belt, we are seeing less of these injuries and abrasions instead. Her injury was much less than those I usually see from patients who did not wear their seat belts. I have spent hours picking pieces of glass from the multiple lacerations people get when their face impact against the windshield.
