Ten days after surgery the tissues are still evolving. The folds
of tissue will mature over time. The various short scar techniques
redrape skin in different fashions. The shorter the scar and more
skin needing resection mean a greater need for redistribution. Within
a few weeks, the skin often smoothes with this type of mastopexy
surgery. |

with wrinkles. The tissue has yet to evolve into its new shape.
Short scar techniques must use time to permit the skin to equilibrate.
The shorter technique scars tend to have more tissue that needs
to distribute for the even result.
The type B short scar method has a more natural early result than
other techniques. Vertical only short scars, like the LeJour technique,
