Breast ptosis correction (mastopexy)
with no breast implants.

Mastopexy (breast resuspension) for breast ptosis is an operation
where the tissue is redraped. To shorten the scars, Dr. Bermant used a Regnault
"Type B" short scar operation.

The results are 2 months
after surgery. Three dimensional surgical sculpting can take time
for the tissue to evolve and drape. Here surface is early in its
redraping. Before 2 months it has smoothed to the shape seen above.
Scars generally improve over the first 6 months.

This photograph is only 10 days after surgery. Notice how there
is little bruising and the tissues have only begun to settle.
Most doctors will not show photographs like this - too gross.
Dr. Bermant has included this image to show a REAL example of EARLY healing. |

Breast ptosis is a DYNAMIC problem. Looking at static photographs
only partly tells the story. A result should look natural in motion. This
movie shows the patient raising and lowering her arms 2 months after surgery.
