Reduction of Concha (in this case part of a Macrotia Reduction)
Details of this ear reduction otoplasty start here.
Surgical sculpture begins elevating the rim of the helix and exposing the deep tissues behind the ear. This exposure is necessary to fold the ear closer to the scalp with a conchal set back for this patient. The cartilage in the rim retains its blood supply from the skin behind the ear.
