28 year old Asian female with protruding ears that actually asked for "cartilage scoring, Mustarde setback, and lobule setback." It is not often a patient comes with such specific requests that were right on target for her protruding ear deformity.

The ear projection was due to a poor antihelix fold before surgery. Artful otoplasty ear pinback surgery should result in a natural gentle new antihelix fold. The next set of pictures is oriented so that the plane of the ear is flat with the image plane. The changing ear angle means that the after surgery pictures have the head oriented differently to keep the ear plane flat with the image. This view is better for showing the quality of the antihelix fold and how well the different ear elements blend together.
