On this page are the scars seven weeks after surgery. Dr. Bermant tries
to hid the tiny incisions whenever possible near body features. On the
left photograph, one incision is just under the belly button. Two additional
incisions are just above the pubic region. Another flank incision is seen
on the right picture. These typical incisions are only about 3mm long
(about 0.12 inches). They need to be big enough to permit entry of the
cannula (liposuction tube).
Notice how most of the liposuction incisions are either hidden by features
or by normal positions of body clothing.
