Large pectoral muscles can make surface fat and glands more prominent. Exercising does not reduce gynecomastia but can help with general body fat.

Localized fat and glands can give a feminine shape to the breast. Surgical sculpture can improve the contour of the male chest. These are early results but demonstrate typical bruising and swelling 12 days after tumescent surgery under sedation. Most swelling has resolved but further changes from the liposuction can take several months to evolve.
