A nasal fracture may be only part of the injury. In this case there are extensive wounds of the forehead and nose. There is missing tissue on the side of the nose and a nasal fracture under this defect.

Reduction of a nasal fracture does not mean the nose cannot be broken again. The break usually occurs in a slightly different location since the healed site can be stronger than the regular bone.
