Rhinoplasty and Septoplasty for Deviated Nasal Septum and Bent Nose

30 year old female did not like her bent nose and could not breath through the right side. Her nasal deformity made it difficult to fit glasses and she had irritation from the nose pads.

Technique

  • Open rhinoplasty
  • Septoplasty and septal resection
  • External osteotomy balancing of bones
  • Turbinate reduction left side only
  • Spreader graft
  • Nasal tip sculpture to balance tip

Female Patient Septoplasty and Rhinoplasty
There was also a deviated septum in her bent nose. Rhinoplasty and deviated septum surgery centralized the bones and cartilage and opened her obstructed airway. Partial obstruction can worsen unless internal deformities are corrected with the external surgery. The turbinate limited reduction, spreader grafts, and septoplasty opened up her nasal airway. She asked Dr. Bermant to maintain the general shape of her nose.
