Reduction Rhinoplasty Surgery

27 year old female complained she did not like the size and shape of her nose. She requested a shorter nose, smaller size, and a reduction of the nasal tip. This patient also had difficulties breathing through her nose. She had a severe deviated septum as well as a long and large nose.

Location surgery:
Hospital operating room

Anesthesia:
Local with Light General

Splint
External Thermoplastic

Technique

  • Open rhinoplasty
  • Nasal height reduction of bones and cartilage
  • Shortening nose
  • Sculpture of lower nasal cartilage and tip
  • Submucous resection septoplasty

This nose overpowers the patients face before surgery. It is long, large, and has a big tip. Open rhinoplasty surgical sculpture permitted a reduction of all elements restoring balance. After surgery her nose is shorter and smaller. She did not want a chin implant.
