Technique

• Open rhinoplasty
• Sculpture to even dorsum
• Lifting collapsed upper cartilage and spreader graft
• Tip cartilage sculpture and graft
• Submucous resection and septoplasty

The nasal tip deformity can be seen as a strange highlight on these photographs. On examination, there was an obvious deformity that attracted the viewer's eye. The surgery balanced the cartilage. Just above the tip, the depressed upper lateral cartilage on the patient's right was elevated with the nasal sculpture. He noted that breathing though his nose was much easier after surgery.

Look at the light reflection on the skin and you can best see the differences before and after surgery. Results at 6 days are very early. Note the limited swelling and bruising with Dr. Bermant's techniques.
