The conchal bowls (concha) were set closer to the skull with permanent stitches. The antihelical fold cartilage (antihelix) was scored through a tiny incision under the upper rim of the ear. The ears were then set back with Mustarde sutures behind the ear.
Notice the natural appearance of the new ear. It does not look like it has been created by surgery.

Notice how little bruising and swelling are present only 6 days after surgery. By 18 days, there is little swelling left.
