Otoplasty Sculpture: Left ear Release Over Bent Antihelix.
29 year old male from California was unhappy with his left ear after otoplasty surgery by another surgeon. The patient complained that his left ear was over folded and bent. The back of the helix rim was too close to his head and did not show from the front on both sides. It "looks like I have two different ears." He styled his hair to cover the problem. Dr. Bermant was the third plastic surgeon seen by this patient for this problem.
Location Surgery: Bermant Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Center
Anesthesia: Local with sedation

Photo of Right Ear that Dr. Bermant left alone after other doctor's otoplasty. This is the goal to try to match the deformed ear. Below notice how close the left ear was to the head before revision. The access point for the surgery can be seen behind this ear. |
